Rose A. Hillwig Feb. 26, 1920 - Jun. 8, 2014 (from OBITUARIES, Buechele Funeral Home Rose A. Hillwig, 94 of East Brady died Sunday June 8, 2014 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler. Born February 26, 1920 in Bradys Bend, she was the daughter of Phillip D. and Edith A. (Ritchey) Bowser. On September 18, 1936, Rose married Melvin Hillwig. He preceded her in death. Rose was a Crane Operator for Pullman Standard in Butler, and later worked in the Housekeeping Department of Butler Hospital for 22 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in East Brady and also a member of the Red Hat Society. Rose enjoyed cheering on the Penguins, Pirates and Steelers and also enjoyed fishing and gardening. Surviving are 2 Daughters, Barbara Hoover and husband Jim of Butler and Nancy Hutchinson and husband Lyle of Karns City. 2 Sons, Roy Hillwig and wife Ellen of Grove City and Greg Hillwig and wife Debbie of Butler. Rose is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sons Robbie and Donald, 1 Sister Joyce Shepard, 2 Brothers Phillip and Thomas. Friends of Rose A. Hillwig will be received 2-4, 6-8pm Tuesday June 10, 2014 at the Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028 Additional visitation will be held from 10-11am Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church followed by a 11am Funeral Service with Rev. Raymond Eichler officiating. Burial in Bradys Bend Cemetery will be private. The Hillwig family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to the East Brady Ambulance PO Box 325 East Brady, PA 160258
