Shirley L. Verner Shirley L. Verner, 64, of East Brady died Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at her home. Born June 18, 1945, in Butler, she was the daughter of Edsel E. and Alma (Frederick) Kelly. She had been active in the Rainbow Girls in the Chicora area. She enjoyed hummingbirds, angels and cooking. Mrs. Verner worked as a care nurse at Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Sligo. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, East Brady. Surviving are her husband, Harry L. "Bill" Verner of East Brady, whom she married Oct. 15, 1995; two daughters, Denise Schandelmeier and her husband, Keith, of West Sunbury and Sharon Fausnaught and her husband, Joseph, of Rimersburg; a son, Jason R. Lewis and his wife, Amy B. Turner, of O'Hara Township, Allegheny County; and a sister, Rebecca Kelly of Butler. Also surviving are three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters. VERNER - Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. Visitation also will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church, East Brady, where the funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Jack Moriarty, church pastor, officiating. Memorials may be made to the East Brady Area Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 325, East Brady, PA 16028.
